About

The School of Library and Information Science (SLIS), part of the USF College of Arts and Sciences, offers an M.A. program in library and information science. The SLIS is located in the modern Communication and Information Sciences (CIS) Building. This facility offers classrooms, faculty office space, conference rooms, three microcomputer laboratories for SLIS students (including a laboratory/classroom and multimedia laboratory).

The M.A. program in Library and Information Science has been continuously accredited by the American Library Association since 1975. Graduates are prepared to assume a wide variety of service and leadership positions in libraries and information centers. In order to attend the needs of our students, courses are offered at a number of sites, including Tampa, Orlando, Sarasota, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Brevard County, and Miami. Courses are also offered via the Internet using the World Wide Web and The Blackboard Academic Suite.

This blog site is maintained by Jessica Voss, the Communication and Information Officer for SLIS.
